Mental Health Awareness Week

GDFM along with the Mental Health Foundation, observes Mental Health Awareness Week this May, from the 15th to the 21st. This year, the theme set by the Mental Health Foundation is ‘Anxiety’.

Anxiety disorders affect over 8 million people in the UK – that’s a little over 1 in 10. This week we have an opportunity to raise awareness, foster understanding, and support those affected by anxiety, and other mental health conditions. At GDFM we believe that all our employees have the right to a safe and healthy work environment. We are committed to ensuring this by following and making strides to embed the ‘Mental Health At Work Commitment standards’ in our culture and taking Health Pulse checks periodically with our staff. You can check out the mental health at work standards by following this link.

By reducing the stigma around anxiety and promoting understanding, we can build a more inclusive society. Join us in supporting Mental Health Awareness Week and making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by anxiety. Together let’s make mental health and well-being for all a global priority.
